Who’s getting it wrong?

According to a new research report from OGL Computer and CyberGuard Technologies 81% of UK SMEs have suffered a data breach or cyber-attack with 37% admitting they had suffered multiple breaches. Read more here.


Other News 

The ICO has released a set of standards aimed at protecting children’s online privacy. Under the rules awaiting Parliament’s approval social media sites, games and other online services won’t be allowed to “nudge” children into revealing personal details or lowering their privacy settings. The code is set to be introduced by autumn 2021. Read more here.

The Metropolitan Police has announced it will use live facial recognition cameras operationally for the first time on London streets. The cameras will be in use for five to six hours at a time, with bespoke lists of suspects wanted for serious and violent crimes drawn up each time. Read more here.
