The NHS has published the source code of its contact-tracing app, which is currently being trialled on the Isle of Wight, to allow scrutiny from others. Read more here.

Potentially sensitive information belonging to 193 UK and global law firms was posted publicly to a website. Data reportedly included business email addresses and passwords. Read more here.

 

Other News

The European Data Protection Board has released a 31-page manual banning certain cookie practices including “cookie walls” where sites bar internet browsers from accessing their content unless they agree to allowing cookies and trackers on the site – a commonly used tactic that the EDPB says steps on the concept of user consent.
